(1) Signing of
documents at 4:48 pm. (1994) |
| After ten years of partnership in R&M Motosport we sold our company to Tucker Rocky Distributing in
1994. The final signing of the transfer of ownership was
completed at a lawyer’s office in Vancouver. When the signing of
the documents was completed I noticed the time on my watch and
it was just before 10 to 5. I realized that the signing of the
documents occurred exactly upon 4:48
p.m. |

(2) Trip odometer
reading 448 (1994) |
| On a two-week trip, in the summer of
1994, I set out across California and Nevada touring on a big
Honda Cruiser I had rented. Included in my tour through the U.S
was a very important Motocross event called The Hangtown 125/250
National. Upon arriving to the event I parked my Cruiser to the
side and noticed my trip odometer read as follows, 448. I was so surprised at that moment I took a picture
of the odometer; which is now stored in my personal archives. |

(3) Signing of
document at 4:48 p.m. (1997) |
| At the tail end of 1997 I started a
project to build a custom motorcycle in dedication to my yoga
master H.E Sir George King. After 9
months my project was complete and the final results were better
than I had ever imagined, my creation I named The Cosmic
Warrior. The final step to fully completing the project
officially was to receive the appraisal forms. The appraisal
documents were signed officially at 4:48
pm on August 28, 1998 by David Fidani, owner of Stylemaster
Custom Motorcycles. (For more information on Project Cosmic
Warrior, please go to the website.) |

(4) Digital light
reading 448 (1997) |
| While being employed by Tucker Rocky
Distributing as a sales representative I had won a trip for top
sales of Woody’s Traction Products. I was driven to the Airport
via limousine and when we arrived I noticed my number. It stared
me straight in the face in red digital lighting on the dashboard
of the limo, 448. I had asked the Driver what it meant
and he told me it was the meter, which told him the distance he
could drive in kilometers before he had to re-fuel. I took a
picture of it but the lighting was low and the picture didn’t
turn out. Never the less, I will still remember it was there. |

(5) New phone # (905)
448 (1999) |
| At the end of
Y2K and the beginning of 2001 Motovan Corp. our largest competitor) bought out Tucker
Rocky distributing. One of the tasks involved in the buy out was
to integrate the two computer systems. My former boss and long
time friend Gary Cuzner was surprised to see the new phone
number was (905) 448- _ _ _ _. We
both took this as a sign that my future at Motovan would be a
positive one, which it has turned out to be. |

(6) Trip odometer
reading 448 (2000) |
| In the last
quarter of 2000, I purchased a "Fun Mover" motor
home for my racing. My plans were to design artwork
across the sides of the vehicle to display all my
sponsors. As the four-month project was nearing
completion I called upon my artist Brian Jones of
Bones Inkorporated to
possibly finalize the artwork. As I parked my van outside his
door my trip odometer read 448. He
thought that was cool. |

(7) Year end sales -
$1,448.000 (April 2001) |
| On April 30 th in 2001, while being
employed now by Motovan Corp. I had received a telephone call
from Gary Cuzner. At month end Gary was reviewing the sales
numbers of all the individual reps at Motovan and for some
reason felt inspired to look at mine. Gary saw that my year to
date sales were going to increase by $150, 000 but the computer
wasn’t going to add it to my total for another couple of hours.
Gary still felt compelled to see my year to date sales even
though this change had not occurred yet. What Gary saw is what
made him call me, $1,448,000. |

(8) Time of CD
completed at 4:48 a.m. (April 2001) |
| Systematic problems with the format of
the artwork was the only thing standing in our way to completing
the graphic for the motor home. I had informed Brian at Bones Inkorporated of the CD problems at approx. 6:00 pm the night
before. Brian had assured me that he could fix the problem in
short order and he would call me when it was complete. Still no
word from Brian by 11:30 pm and not being able to contact him by
phone I became anxious and drove over to see what the problem
was. When I had arrived Brian was still hard at work on it and
due to the Internet my call could not go through. Brian had
underestimated the problem and it wasn’t as easy as he first
suspected. We both worked steady on it until the CD was finally
burned and guess what time it was when it was finally completed.
You got it; 4:48 am was exactly the
time on the computer clock when Brian shut down the unit. I saw
it coming but I didn’t bring it to his attention until it
actually was complete. I think he was just as surprised although
he only smiled and looked at me funny. |

(9) Trip odometer
4.48 when rescued (2001) |
| At the 2001 Beagle Bash Enduro I debuted
my newest motorcycle the KTM 250 Six Days bike on its first
ride. I entered myself in the trail ride instead of the race. My
motive behind this is that I didn’t want the pressure on me,
being that I’d never ridden this bike before. The trail ride was
unbelievable but my mistake is where this story begins. I had
missed a turn or possibly a couple and couldn’t find the main
gas truck. My Karma caught up with me and eventually I ran the
KTM 250 bone dry. I must have been riding solo for over an hour
and during that time I had not seen anyone. I became frustrated
at my misfortune and began to think how I could ever get out of
this situation. Being so far into the bush I decided to wait
with my motorcycle and hope another rider would find me passing
by. No sooner had this thought crossed my mind, a familiar face
rides out of nowhere. My savior Blair Sharpless, ex-Canadian
Enduro Champion, who was an official at the event, pull up
beside me. Since I had my helmet on he didn’t recognize me right
away. When I pulled my helmet off he said to me "Jag,,,,, What’s
up?! As I began to explain my story to him I looked down at his
3 digit Trip Odometer and I see 44.8 km. I immediately slapped Blair on the arm and pointed at the
odometer. He wasn’t too sure why I was so excited though.
Needless to say at that point I knew everything was going to be
fine. Ten minutes later I was fueled up and continued on what
had proved to be a fantastic ride. Thanks Blair, you
saved my day! |

(10) Calculator
reading 448 (2001) |
| 10.This next story came about in a bizarre
way. A former girlfriend of mine, who wishes to remain nameless,
had a significant 448 experience.
Early in our relationship, while talking on the phone, for some
reason she felt inspired to do something out of the ordinary. A
calculator was lying on her bed, and for some unknown reason she
decided to multiply her phone number by my phone number. She was
shocked to see the result. 44825777989300.
We both saw this as a good sign in terms of our relationship. We
spent much time together but eventually ended the relationship
and are still great friends to this day. |
